I like the crop, and the lack of sharpness is not a big problem; in fact it looks like a bit of motion blur to highlight its struggle to escape. The reflection is excellent for such a small subject. When something like this happens, I’m always tempted to help the subject on its way, but usually I don’t (and here it was probably out of reach), because I believe in letting nature have its way. Sometimes, though, when I think I might have, say, caused the critter to panic and fly into a spider’s web, I’d step in to “right the wrong”.

Nicely done, Sandy. I agree that the lack of sharpness is not a big problem. I’m enjoying the bright yellow wasp with the surrounding browns and blues, which are nicely oof. It is a very nice reflection of the wasp, which to me just really makes this shot. Well done.

Sandy: Really good capture of a unique moment. The reflection really puts this over the top. Most excellent. :+1: :+1:>=))>

Very nice, Sandy. The lack of detail isn’t enough to matter for me. The setting and reflection are awesome.

Sandy, the color here make the scene, even though it slightly soft. I would try moving the wasp just a bit left in the frame.

Very nice. I’m not bothered by it being a little soft. Hard to even notice unless I enlarge it. Neato!
