Misty is one of two cats that my sister had for several years. My sister died unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago. Right now Misty and Cricket, the other cat, are with one of my other sisters.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your sister, my condolences.
Her cat has amazingly beautiful eyes and you captured them wonderfully. You could even crop a bit off the top to further emphasize them.
A beautiful portrait, Barbara. I’m sorry to hear about your sister. Your detail and exposure are spot on and I love the depth of field you chose. Given the slight head tilt, I think maybe a bit more room on the left and and a bit less on the right might suit it more, but this is a fine image as posted.
What a lovely kitty. If it were mine, since the ears are already cut off, I’d crop further and eliminate them completely. That would make those amazing eyes even more prominent. A scroll crop to just above the eyebrows looks pretty good.
Oh Barbara, I’m so sorry to hear that you lost your sister. I just can’t even imagine.
