Patricia, the intensity is striking. It looks like you added some brushwork to lengthen the oof hair. That extra looks good here.
Great stare, and I do like the “sketchy” textures surrounding the subject. A fine choice for black and white.

Beautiful photo of a beautiful animal. I would be curious to see it with far less painting-like processing, more of a straight B&W.
Very eye-catching image. I love the combination of painterly and photographic. I aspire to do similarly on some subjects, but with limited success. Did you use Topaz , or something similar? Best thing I can say about this image, “wish I had done it.” Thanks!
Hi Mark. Unfortunately I don’t keep a record of the steps taken. I use PS, NIK, Topaz and Smart Photo Editor. Couldn’t duplicate the process if my life depended upon it. Sorry.
