Hey John, welcome back and welcome to the weekly challenge. I generally think of monochrome being black and white. You’ve just shown me that it doesn’t have to be. Great image.

John, my first thought was fascinating cloud formations. Then, trying to figure out the bright streak, I realized that this was shot from the air looking down, since that streak has to be a boat’s wake. The softly white shapes of the waves look great.

Thanks Mark. Yes, I was flying in a commercial airline coming back from Venezuela. The “waves” are actually sand shoals beneath the water.

Fascinating image. I can imagine all sorts of things that this could be or represent. Intriguing. I love the rich blue color.
