Description
This is another image from our trip to Bombay Hook NWR in DE. I have another file from this particular spot where the sky is exploding with this lovely pink glow, but I decided to go with this one instead as I just like the quiet peaceful vibe of the blue tones with just a hint of warmth starting to appear in the sky. Hopefully the mud is not too much of a distraction as it was low tide. This was an impromptu trip decided the night before to coincide with a high probability of morning fog; which was more important to me than the tide level.
Specific Feedback
Are the tones too blue or should I warm it up a little bit? Anything else you notice please feel free to mention it.

Ed, this does capture a quiet mood well. The colors look right. My one thought is that if you have some space (and there are no distractions…) on the right going to 4x5 might work well also. Having spend a fair amount of time on East Coast, USA shores, the mud flats add to the sense of place as well as showing low tide.
This is a very fine image in my view. I like that it’s about a mud flat and not some showy composition. Any time you show beauty in something ordinary it gets the attention. It’s like: I’ve seen this hundreds of times but now I’m really seeing it. The foggy tree shapes, no matter how well done, get tiresome.
That’s my thought looking at this Ed. I wouldn’t warm it, because this feels just right for that time of day; the moment when the sky just starts to warm and push away the deeper blues as night fades. There’s a lot of empty space at the top, but in the end I think it works.
Thanks so much everyone @Don_Peters, @joaoquintela, @Mark_Seaver, @Michael_Lowe, @Igor_Doncov, @John_Williams and @Tom_Nevesely for your thoughts on this image; always appreciated. I am glad the peaceful vibe from that morning comes through. I do have some space on the right that I cropped off. I think there was a bush there, but I will revisit the image to check.
