Description
I’ve been poking around my hard drive trying to find stuff to delete when I came across this little gem. It was the morning after a total lunar eclipse that took place a few hours before sunrise back in 2011 in December. It was a chilly night and the morning sun brought some wonderful warmth to my body as well as to the landscape. The colors that morning were off the charts.
Specific Feedback
Do I keep this or is it to run of the mill? I particularly like the multiple ridge lines and how they poke through the misty atmosphere.
Technical Details
Nikon D2x, Nikon 400mm f/5.6 MF lens at f11 1/20 sec ISO 100. Processed for the first time today in ACR and PS with some TK Masks. I did back off the saturation a bit as it was just to colorful.

Definitely a keeper imho. I would love to have this image in my portfolio. This is the kind of image photographers used to take before the overdone Instagram explosion.
I already did back off the saturation in the yellows but I will knock off a few more points. I agree it was very intense and it seemed unreal. Thanks for picking up that and pointing it out
Youssef, along with the wonderful light the layering from FG to BG adds to the view very nicely. I agree with the yellow intensity but obviously totally adjustable and or fixable as it were… a very fine scene…
Hi Youssef,
This is definitely a keeper in my book and I am glad you brought it out to the light of day to share with us. The color gradations are flat out gorgeous as is the light mist and I love the layering with the ridge lines. I too could see a slight dial back of the yellow saturation, but that is more personal preference rather than a nit. Beautifully done!
