I was on my way to Anchorage from Valdez and happened to notice this moose at a distant lake. It was a very peaceful scene with the moose, some Canadian Geese and a variety of ducks. I stopped and used the 200-600 lens to shoot some close-ups of the moose @ 600mm and then opened it up to 200 mm to get this landscape version.

Oh I miss moose. This one seems to have the place to itself. There seems to be a color cast going on here, a touch cyan to my eye. Also I wish the moose was holding its head up or had a more discernable silhouette here, but what can you do? The environment shows so well here - oh those mountains!
