Moose Tranquilty

I was traveling from Anchorage to Valdez and saw this moose at a distant lake (Quite a ways from the highway) so I stopped to see if I could get a decent photo. I took this wider angle one and another that was zoomed as much as possible. I really liked this one as it had the nice landscape behind the lake for context. The overall scene was very peaceful. The various geese & ducks that were feeding with the moose was a nice bonus and helped create the peaceful mood.

Your’re right, this is a very inviting, tranquil scene, Gary. The water birds in the foreground are a nice bonus. The limited range of colors and the high contrast in the mountains have me wondering how a b&w version would look as an alternative.
