Description

Our succulents are flowering like crazy in our Spring like weather conditions. Got up to 80 degrees the past few days and it’s bringing out their best. Found about 20 feet from the front door. >=))>

Specific Feedback

Used the higher mag rig on these little guys. The fully opened flowers are about 2/3 the size of a dime. Put a fairly strong vignette to mask the BG. Unfortunately, stacking with this lens is pretty frustrating, especially compared to my 70-200 and A7rIII.

Excellent, Bill. Everything is in focus that needs to be, so the single shot worked fine. A lovely composition.

Eighty degrees! My, where are you? We are heading for another deep freeze in Minnesota. I love composition and colors in this perfect succulent bouquet . The red flowers in the corners and the closed buds really complement the image.

@Larry_Greenbaum Balmy Houston. Wearing shorts and a tee shirt as I type.

Is this another Kalanchoe (see Giuseppe Guadagno’s)? I agree with @Larry_Greenbaum about the composition, just to add that I love how the curved leaves frame the blooms too. I might be tempted to remove those leaves which are curving outwards, but that might leave too much space in the LRC. Beautiful contrast of colors between blooms and those dark leaves. All in all, smashing.

Gorgeous image of the Kalanchoe. I have several colours of them, but nothing quite so delicate as this.

I find them hard to isolate a nice composition. You’ve done that! I like the darker vignette as well.

I’d love to be in Houston at the moment. It’s hovering around 90-95 degress where I live!
