More Egrets

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I counted 17 egrets yesterday morning at the state park pond. The water is getting lower concentrating the sunfish in one area. The egrets are really going to town there.

Wow! Superb composition, action and detail in all! Gives me a craving for a snack…

Great series, Allen. The first frame is very unique and leaves one wondering a bit what’s going on, until we flip to the second image. Gorgeous light and excellent detail in all of the images.

All are excellent (as noted, the first is “unique”); great light, exposure and action. Following the sequence it appears that, after all that work, the heron decided the fish was not to its liking (or it was just playing with its food-must be a juvenile).

Marvelous series in ideal light! You’re fortunate to have so many close - we only have a few here on the coast, and they are usually flying over to wherever they nest on the rocks.
Every one of these is excellent, so I’m not going to choose.
Superb!
