More kestrels

This image was taken while this kestrel Was resting on a sign post next to the road. I cropped as close as I could without getting the sign post involved.

This is natural habitat. I thought it would be best not to do any cloning, but to show the bird it’s natural habitat.

These are hovering kestrals all taken together.

Enjoyed them all, David but especially the first cut off image for the…well for everything: the hunting pose, the softness of the processing, the close up look, the sharpness of the eye and beak, and the amazingly complementary background. Too bad about the sign but it might not be such a distraction given the quality of the image as presented.

Love the composite David, a very pleasing shape. . . . . . . . . . but maybe the head should remain in the same position

All great images David! I particularly like the first. It’s a cracker of a portrait. Love the pose and the background. You’ve got great sharpness.

Would you consider more of a portrait, by cropping in a little tighter?

Hi David
I really like the first and last photograph grouping. The frame steping in the last frame is outstanding.

Hi David, a definite nemesis bird for me so I appreciate these images. The first image shows the feather patterns nicely with a fine head turn. Pleasing background also.

The first is definitely my favorite, David. Beautiful light that captures the colors of the Kestrel. Great pose, detail and complementary background.

Here is a repost
