Description

I caught this handsome CA quail out back with some grass getting lit up behind it. I like the color match of the subject and background.

Specific Feedback

Did I treat the highlight right. Still too harsh? Cropping?

Love the Morning Quail, but the bright background is a problem. If you can separate the background with a mask and lower the exposure , that would help.

Love the bird’s pose but agree with Peter about the bright background being an issue. Details on the bird’s breast seem to be muted.
