There are many opportunities in the fall for Mostly Sky images from the East Bay hills. Here is one taken this fall before the fires started. Fog was coming through the Golden Gate at an angle.
For me this really pops with about a 1/3 crop from the top to become a “pano,” just below that brightest white cloud. The gray at the top keeps dragging my eyes away from the more interesting details in the lower portions. Beautiful setting, and with the crop, beautiful photo for my eye.
Kathy, I like the big expanse of colorful sky here. Having the Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz (I think…) showing adds a fine sense of place. Seems like you’ve found a great spot for GG/Bay views.
