Self Critique

I think I managed to catch a great look at the goat with habitat in the background. I was very close to this guy, so I didn’t have the option for much more habitat.

Creative direction

I wanted to capture this beautiful goat up close to show some details and also have enough of the surroundings to show the habitat.

Specific Feedback

Cropping is going to be discussed. This was pretty much full frame, so I didn’t have many options.

Description

This was taken on Mt Evans in Colorado. The weather and the goats cooperated. A truly memorable day.

Another nice photo Jerry! I agree that a little more room in the photo might help but sometimes, as you pointed out, that is not an option. Always enjoy your photos.

Wow, Jerry, you were able to get very close to your mountain goat subject. The details in the wool are very clear, and there is plenty of above the timberline, hillside habitat, I especially like the rocky spine in the background. So I agree you were successful in your effort. I would have liked to have the lower right corner in more of a focal range with the other grasses and forbs.

Fine close up details of the Mountain goat. It is indeed a majestic animal yet such a softness in its eyes
