The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I took my wife and sister-in-law to the tulip festival on April 5th in Mt. Vernon, Wa. It was a beautiful, cloudless day, way too sunny for photography, but they loved it. The flowers were amazing!
Specific Feedback
This image was taken at noon. I tried to minimize the harsh contrast. I’d appreciate any comments, especially about colors and contrast
A cheerful image, Steve. The color in the tulips look great and in this case I think the sun is their friend. I could see maybe darkening the greens to boost contrast between them and the flowers. Last year I went to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, Oregon and it was a sunny day as well, but well worth it.
Thank you @Allen_Brooks, @Mark_Seaver and @Don_Peters for your comments! I added a minor revision to slightly darken the greens per Allen’s suggestion. The difference is subtle but I think it’s an improvement.
Steve: I envy your tulip experience; they just don’t grow well in our warm climate. This is a delightful bunch and I agree that your revision is a subtle but positive improvement. Perhaps not a wall hanger but still a fine record of a fine experience.>=))>
