Critique Style Requested: Standard
The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Ah, sorry for giving you ear cancer with that song, but I couldn’t help it. And I don’t really want critique that badly, but I thought this was a funny image. Certainly not in league with any wildcats or elephants, but amusing.
I was heading back to the boat launch, very lazily paddling and just taking my time when I saw what I thought was some crazy stump or branch out in the water and went in for a closer look. Turned out to be a muskrat feeding in what I think was deep water. Could be there is something it’s standing on, but I don’t think so. It would dive and come up in slightly different places and nibble on whatever it found. It hardly ever opened its eyes and that tail is just bonkers. I’ve never encountered one in deep water without any protective reeds or other vegetation. Weirdo rodents.
Specific Feedback
It is what it is, but any ideas or thoughts are welcome.
Technical Details
Handheld in a strong breeze.
Cropped and basic edits in Lr. Brought up the exposure because I screwed it up in camera. Added some texture and sharpening. Not much else.
