Steve, to me this is a story of an unknown world, represented by the dark background. The bird to me doesn’t appear to be entering or leaving that world, but travelling alongside, next to it. It’s a metaphor for our lives, living amidst uncertainty.
I like how you were able to catch the bird against tht little pocket of black, instead of against brown.

I feel an image should be like poetry or an abstract painting. The viewer should relate to the image as a personal feeling.

It tells me of Eden. Light coming to the darkness.
I think its power comes from its simplicity.
