Questions to guide your feedback

The title is only meant to deflect and deceive… and also I had no idea what to call this. Very curious as to what you see and your reaction.

Image Description

As mentioned, single ICM frame. This was captured from the 3rd floor window of our hotel overlooking a small beach of the Monterey Bay. A very small surf lapping on the sands, quite literally directly below the hotel bay window. I spend 2 glorious mornings at this window, which will make for a cool “Project” (I hope.)

The other contributing element is the time. This was actually taken late at night, around 11:30pm. I wish I could say this was from the “light of the silvery” moon… but in reality the source of light was the lights of the El Torito restaurant reflecting on the beach. Original is in color of course, but frankly the result was almost completely b&w (high contrast).

As I mentioned in the open, I don’t have a good title for this. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks for looking and commenting!

As always, reaction, comments and feedback always welcome. I’m most curious to know your initial reaction to this. How is the processing, b&w treatment, contrast?

Not the slightest clue but it is very intriguing! I LOVE the way the lines taper and fade out on the right. And the variation in texture and lighting is very cool.

Now I’ve read the description and I was thinking it almost could be (or almost evoked) an aerial with a really slow SS! My internal AI has obviously been trained on too many attempts with the SS too low.

The black and white gives me the feel of a cloud formation, Lon. I think I see some grass texture in this, but I could easily be wrong. I really like the formation and black and white suits it beautifully.

My initial reaction was to be intrigued. The textures and shapes are appealing.

Thank you @Diane_Miller , @Dennis_Plank and @Don_Peters . I appreciate you taking the time.

Yeah, this one is pretty abstract and near impossible to decipher. “Clouds” is pretty close to what I was thinking in terms of “gases”; pretty much the same thing!
