No help from me re: identification. Whatever it is, you certainly captured it well (was going to say “nailed it” but you already did, and I guess I just did, too.) In any event, I really like this and no nits.

Another neat bird, David. To my eye, the bird and perch look a bit noisy, but they’re certainly sharp. Nice composition and background.

Sorry I can’t help with the identification either. I like the handling of the background and the bird certainly shows well - nicely positioned and sharp. Hint of a catchlight. I also feel it looks a little noisy - have the shadows been lightened in post?
