Description

Near City Of Rocks State Park in Idaho, this old place caught my eye. A story of successful generations of pioneers, and a story of the inevitable power of Nature. Hard to keep boots dry in the meadow soaked with springtime runoff.

Specific Feedback

I tried cropping some from the left, but felt the left gave the house room to breathe and showed its context.

But what a view! And I’ll bet the spring wildflowers were awesome. An excellent image of this old place, Dick.

I love these kind of finds. I thought that the house needs to be brighten a tad, so I reduced the shadows and the blacks on the front of the house. Next, I created a second layer and blurred it. Then created a white layer mask, painting it with black to bring the house in focus. I think this puts more of the focus on the house.
