Excellent detail in the Bluebird, Wayne, and I love the little head turn it’s giving you. I think it could use a touch more canvas on the right.

If you don’t mind some advice on set-ups, while that perch has a ton of character, it’s pretty much impossible to get it all in focus due to it’s geometry. Using perches that can be rotated so they’re pretty much all in a plane helps a lot with preventing out-of-focus foreground problems.

Thanks Dennis, All suggestions and advice are appreciated. Will put more thought on your tips on the perch.

You know spring is coming when the Bluebirds are back! I think this image could use some more space on the right side of the frame.

Lovely shot with excellent detail and the flowers add a lot.

Thanks Jenaya, Added some room to the right which helps a bit. I’m kinda stuck on showing the detailed beauty of the bird itself for now before going on to the birds environment more-so. I’m learning more every day from members. It’s great, Thanks to all.

Thanks Allen, It seems that the birds notice the lens motor and camera clicks because they are constantly turning to see where it is coming from, but I use a tent in order to not alarm them. They also like to visit the same perch.

Great detail in the little Bluebird and I love how his eye is looking right at you. I also like how the background foliage definitely set him in his environment but yet doesn’t distract. Very nice photo Wayne.
