Northern Harrier

Looks to me as if the ducks are laughing at the Harrier. I like the position I caught the harrier in, and I suppose I could have cropped tighter, but I also liked having the ducks in the scene.

You caught a great moment here. I like the ducks. Maybe they are frantically yelling “Hide the kids! Hide the kids!”

I agree with keeping the ducks, Allen. It makes the scene. I toyed with the idea of cropping from the right to eliminate the two ducks over there and decenter the harrier a bit more, but I think it would make for a rather awkward composition. I do think there’s a fifth duck head sticking into the right edge of the frame that you might want to remove.

You’re right. I meant to do that and then forgot. I also toyed with de-centering the harrier and there is more room on the left from the original crop, but didn’t want to lose the other two ducks.

Appealing environmental and behavioral scene. Good interaction. I might try to decrease the bright highlights on the hawks wing.

Hi Allen
Great nature shot. Love the inter action with the ducks. I feel the Harrier is getting lost in the background reeds. Maybe lower the back ground some, so the Harrier stands out more. Nice c catch.

Nice nature/action scene, Allen. I’m surprised the ducks aren’t a bit more alarmed.

Really nice environmental shot. Nice pose from the hawk and excellent getting the reaction of the ducks. Hawk is nice and sharp.
