Northern Harrier

I post this show another approach to birds.
It could be sharper. All words welcome.

I really like the narrowed view of the focus and peering through the growth to see the avian looking back…:+1:
I’m not an avian person at all, but the larger version it almost looks like a hawk…
Regardless, the scene works nicely as it is presented…:sunglasses:

I really like the environment that you found this bird, Steven. The reddish brown vegetation really brings out the best in the bird. @Paul_Breitkreuz is right, this is a Northern harrier and it looks like a juvenile one based on the coloration of the eyes.

In general I feel that the composition feels a little cut off on the lower right corner for me. I think having more room at the bottom and to the right will make the bird looks more “complete”.

Thank you, very kind. I’ll make the correction.

I like the window you found here Steven, and your focus is spot on the bird. If this were mine I would crop the image down from the top to just where the background sky bleeds in the frame-making for more like a 2x3 composition.
