Hi Dom, Thanks for sharing this fine seascape image with us. I really like the mood and the tones of the sky and water. I think the framing and balance are spot on. Altogether a brilliant effort.

I like the composition and that the sky is dramatic but not overly so. Might benefit from a slight CCW rotation but I can’t be sure.

Thanks Ronald, I think you’re right - I slightly tweaked the crop before I exported it and I’ve somehow nudged the level in the process I think.

Dom, I really like the different textures, smooth water and sky and sharp crisp rocks. Nice composition and nice light too. I can hear the nice smooth surf in my head.

Thanks Ed, much appreciated.

Hi Dom,
The framing and balance work just fine for me and I love the soft muted color palette of this seascape. I also am enjoying the water patterns across the sand beach. Beautifully done!

Thank you Ed

An excess of Eds on this thread. :grinning:
I suggest trying cropping the top and darkening it a little. The sky helps set the mood, but is a only supporting element of the composition. And the bright areas at the top pull the viewer away from the real interest.
As always, just my opinion. I wish I was there.

It certainly is an Ed thread :grinning:

Thanks for the feedback - I’ll have a play, I’m not sure about cropping it but I can see what you mean about darkening the sky a little.
