This is an IR image of a rose from an arrangement that I gave my wife for her birthday. I see Infrared photography as another pathway for artistic photography. Most of my images I convert to black and white with the idea of creating more drama. In this instance though, I decided to utilize the color image that to me produces the tranquility and peace of this rose.

Robert: Having done zero work in infrared this is pretty intriguing. I love the soft color palette and the feather is a really nice complementary element. Wonderfully conceived, captured and presented. >=))>
Thank you again, Bill. Like I said in the description it is another artistic path. I’ve been trying it out for maybe 4-5 years and usually have the converted camera with me most of the time I’m attending a workshop or just shooting around home. After I’m done with my main image captures I will pull out the IR camera. The lenses for my Canon RF 5 are compatible with the IR converted camera. Robert, you’ve got a nice romantic dreaminess here with the subtle colors and the slight softness throughout most of the frame. I like the change-of-pace that the leaf on the right adds and the blues and greens scattered throughout. You used the limited DOF well.
