October Glory

I made a concerted effort in fall of 2020 to plant more fall blooming wildflowers such as goldenrod, Joe Pye-weed and asters, such as the one being enjoyed by this migrating Monarch in October 2021.

What a beauty, Terry. Planting fall blooming flowers paid off for you and the migrating Monarch. I love the mix of colors. He stands out nicely in the flowers and the nice oof BG. Right off, I can’t think of anything to improve the shot.

Good move on the planting, and a nice color contrast here. I’d consider a crop from the top to just below the bright flower to center. That gives you a “quieter” top edge to help keep the eyes on the butterfly and the flowers around it.

@Shirley_Freeman @Diane_Miller Thanks for looking, ladies and for your comments and suggestions.

Terry, both the Aster and the Monarch look very good here.
