Hi, Dan - I think you mean UNusual opportunity…
Yeah, it’s tough to get birds together with both in focus - you did well here. Both the tricolour heron and the white ibis are in good poses and pretty sharp.
The frame is quite tight, so you might consider back off just a bit. It’s always tempting to crop tightly around things, but a looser crop leaves room for breathing.
Nice catch!

Thanks, I agree with the cropping suggestion.

Tight cropping aside, I think you captured a very cool meeting of a couple of species. Wonder what they would say right then if they could talk?

Hi Daniel,
Really interesting to see these species together - nice catch and thanks for sharing with us. Exposure and color looks good to me. These herons are quite striking IMO.
I agree with Sandy’s comment about the cropping - a bit looser would be nice including room on the bottom for the “virtual leg” of the heron.

No critique to add to what the others noted, the crop is the only nit I could come up with for this fine image. Great to get them that close together.

Great capture, Dan. Nice to get both together and with the heron showing some action. Nice environmental scene as well with the nice water color and reflections. And, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Thanks and same to you.
