Description

Brown Pelican, San Diego
Pelicans may be clumsy, common birds, but the males in full breeding colours are very beautiful and one of my favorite US birds

Specific Feedback

Does this crop work, or is it too centered?

Great pose, Sandy. That really shows off the bill.

I’m with you on how beautiful these birds can be. They also are great contortionists resulting in some interesting poses as shown in this excellent (as usual) image.

Interesting pose you captured. Cropping/composition looks good.

Allen, This is called a “head-throw” and is believed to stretch the neck to keep it flexible. I should have added this in the description.
