Osprey nest at sunrise

Here is another osprey image. Last Friday, I hired a park ranger to take me into a cypress swamp to photograph ospreys. We started before sunrise and captured some images of the early sun behind the nests.

What a great scene; well composed.

Hi Allen
You showed why photographers get up at 5AM to photograph birds. Nice work, hope you had a great day.

Allen: you’ve captured a great environmental scene. I would be tempted to bring up the birds and the nest just a bit, maybe even just the white of the birds. Excellent otherwise. Richard

Superb! Beautiful light and comp. The orange backlight on the branches is quite pleasing.

I love this, Allen. Great job on the lighting to keep the sun from blowing out completely and still get exposure on the nest and birds.
