Pertinent technical details or techniques:

I know about an active Osprey nest locally and went down there this morning and found an adult female in the nest, and this adult male in a nearby tree. It let me shoot him for quite a while before taking off and I got lucky with the light, and its chosen direction to go. It was so close I cut off body parts on most of the shots but I caught him all with this one. Pretty good detail on this shot Dave. Good wing position and great lighting on the one eye as it’s side lit. The talons are also lit up nicely and I actually like the inclusion of the tree in the background. Colors look pretty good to me too.

Wonderful flight pose, Dave, and I like the angle. Looks like it’s coming right at you. It could be me, but that sky looks like a really odd and bright shade of blue.

I like the position and dynamic pose of the osprey. Nicely captured.
I can’t get past the blue sky as a major distraction. The color doesn’t look natural and it is fighting the subject for attention.
