While checking out a local man made Osprey nest yesterday morning I managed to get a series of shots of the two of them briefly doing the “big it”. I thought the most interesting capture was of the male dismounting here. D500, Nikon 200-500 lens, Nikon 1.4 TC, 1/3200th, f 8.0, 390mm, ISO 1100, monopod/gimbal head, AI Clear, cropped to 2821 x 1966

Hi Dave. Somehow I missed this one when you first posted it. I like the nice shot of the eyes, without real contact with the photographer. An interesting structure-all the ones I’ve seen are 4x4’s on top of a telephone pole, though when I was on the St. Johns river in Florida a few years ago, they used about everything, including a channel buoy.
