Osprey

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I saw some ospreys in Florida in late January. These two were seen on separate days. The top one was diving in to collect some nesting material. The second was a fly by carrying a fish.

I wondered about the difference in the skies until I read your description Allen. Both are excellent and I can’t think of any improvements.

Both are wonderful with such nice tonal and image quality. The whites are just right. I love the top-view diving shot for being more unusual, and the one with the fish for being so close-up and detailed.

I must have hundreds of osprey shots (after deleting many hundreds more) and maybe two of them have a whole fish.

As usual excellent detail. I like the composition of the first image-there’s a sense of impending action. An Osprey with a fish is a good catch for both of you.

Hi Allen
You’re , making me a believer in the Canon 200-800mm lens. ( 800mm = what 1200mm in a full frame body). The two photographs are very cool.
