Osprey

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I visited the state park pond and found this osprey there. He/she was first perched and then took off for some flight shots. This appears to be a young bird with those orange eyes.

Specific Feedback

The color scheme looks different in the last photo versus the others. I took the last photo early when I first arrived and the others about 45 minutes later.

All excellent looks at the Osprey, Allen. My favorite would be the third one with the Osprey coming more or less at the viewer and I like that wing position.

These are all really good views of the osprey Allen. I’m torn between the second and the third, but they are all really well done.

Beautiful detail in all four of these, Allen. I don’t think I could pick a real favorite from these. Excellent work.

Awesome, images, Allen. All are fantastic, but number 3 is my fav.

Allen, wonderful series! Excellent flight and perched poses, with bright eyes in all.
Sweet!

What a nice collection of osprey shots! I never get tired of shooting these very cool looking hawks. I’d be hard pressed to pick a fav here.

All are wonderful! I’d be tempted to pull just a little yellow out of the last one (in raw, with the Temp slider) and curious to see if it brings out a little more detail in the darks. Maybe also the slightest move of Tint, to get away from green. (That slider needs a vernier scale.)
