May 14, was a good day to photograph Ospreys, There were 5 or 6 hunting for around 30 minutes at Rocky Neck State Park, 9:30am.

I really like this. Great pose and with superb wing position. excellent detail and the Eyes eally make it

Excellent, Peter. I love the head on flight shot and the eyes are awesome. You might bring up the osprey a bit (just keep the whites under control).

Excellent!! This guy looks like he is hunting YOU! Quite a glare in those eyes… With today’s tools, you might be able to bring up the darks just a bit, but it works as is.

Thank you for your comments. I tool another look at the Osprey in DXO PhotLab7 and increased the gain by .4 and used a control point on the Ospreys head to control the whites. What do you think?
