Repost: Foreground Texture and Contrast Boosted

Image Description
We don’t get a lot of snow around here so I had to go back to 2021 for this one. I was in my permanent blind (with a heater going) when I spotted this Golden-crowned Sparrow coming out of the brush pile I provide for the birds that like to skulk. It had just gotten a little way out when a gust of wind knocked a clump of snow off an overhead limb and it smacked the sparrow right in the head. I was lucky enough to catch the impact and have the settings right. I posted this back shortly after I took it, but I totally reprocessed it for this post.

I’m a little bothered by the twig that goes across the feet of the bird but it doesn’t seem like something I can remove without recreating more than I like.
