Pacific Wren

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Some birds respond when you play back their song, others don’t. The Pacific Wren does seem to respond. I heard this one in the underbrush and it popped out when I played its song.

Specific Feedback

Any thoughts appreciated.

Great singing pose Allen. Love the open beak and angle of the bird towards us. Sharp where it needs to be. A real cutie and great capture. Well done.

Okay, that’s how you got this? I was jealous because I’ve never gotten one of these. He must have been incredibly close to have depth of field not even reaching his feet. You might consider toning down the branch going to the bottom of the frame. A spectacular image of this guy with perfect pose and head turn.

@Allen_Brooks We really love all the wrens. This photograph is spectacular. You may not have been able to focus this close with other lenses and the 100-500 is great in this regard. I wish the 200-800 would get this close.
