Palette Springs, West flow

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

The hot springs at Mammoth change constantly. Last fall, this area was largely dry and white/grey as the main flow was off to the right of this view. This year, the flow is coming towards the board walk both here and from the Eastern pool, making for much more colorful viewing.

Specific Feedback

This is a 7 vertical shot panorama taking advantage of the rare this spring mostly clear sky. It is nice to have some wispy clouds on the right. If you look closely, you may see the hints of color reflected in the mist from the hot springs.

Technical Details

R5, 100-500 @ 100, 1/160 s, f/16, iso 400, tripod and polarizer

Mark, I love the structure here of the entire tiered or cascading formation. The colors really add to the view… :sunglasses:
Only thought for change on this image as presented is to crop in slightly on the left to eliminate or minimize the black looking charcoal there. The remaining shadow is fine just enough to remove most of the black there. Just an idea…

I know that you are more familiar with this masterpieces of the nature but for me it is an incredible image, a Martian landscape. May be also for this, but not only, I have the strong wish of bringing the image closer, without any distraction for enjoying the beautiful shapes and the different colors: white, gray, gold, and all the shades of orange.
Here it is posted the image that I wished to look at hoping that is not too trivial for you.
