Palouse Grain Elevator

This photo was taken during the evening golden hour in the Palouse of Eastern Washington. An example of being in the right place at the right time. It was taken with an iPhone.

Any critique is appreciated.

Chris: I think I remember this spot from when I lived in Spokane in the early 80s. The trees tell a story along with the abandoned barn. Top notch shot. >=))>

Chris, the two trees and how they lean toward the old elevator makes a fine comp. It’s quite a scene.

Thank you. It was good. I especially loved the golden light at the time.

Very nice, Chris. I agree with Mark that the two trees leaning towards the old elevator really does make this composition nicer. It would have been a fine image without them, but it just seems to make the shot for me. The lighting is nice too. This has been one fine Weekly Challenge, although I have not been able to view and comment on all of them. Been a bit of a crazy week for me.

Thanks, Shirley. I do like old, abandoned things…especially rust.
