Parallel supports

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Apart from the attraction of autumn colours, I loved the lines created by the tree supports. These pines are so old and gnarly that they need timber supports especially during the winter snow falls.
This photograph was taken in a park in Japan.

An unusual shot - I like this a lot!
I’ve never seen supports like this - I’m glad the Japanese are so dedicated to keeping these beautiful trees intact. It have been very difficult to erect them, and I wonder how they anchored them in the lake.
The colours, with the splash of red, all the different areas of interest, and reflections are just great.
I have mixed feelings about the small strip of grass at the bottom - might be an improvement to get rid of it.
Really fine image! Well-done!

Hi Sandy,
I thought about cropping out the grass strip in front but it would have cut out some of the parallel poles and tree reflections. I guess foreground can be a distraction rather than adding to the image. Thank you for your thoughtful comments.
