At a local wildlife refuge. Large crop. Always fun to catch one of these in flight but they rarely get close enough. IQ good for 2X extender which I find is not always the case. But sometimes you need the extra reach above the 1.4X.

David as you know I am new here and appreciative of all that I have to learn…but I do know what I like in other peoples photos …and I love the abstract background as much as the beautiful bird capture. I do know how hard it is to capture a peregrin so impressed by the skill in achieving that. I think the crop is very creative and shows off that gorgeous background.
David, nice Peregrine flight image. Always a special day to get close enough to see and capture those great underwing markings and that streamline flight profile. I have cropped some similar flight shots as slim bookmark horizontals to remove unwanted image areas and try to create the feel of speed. That might work here with that nice diagonal separating the two blues.
