Peregrine

This was taken on my Southern California trip at the end of March. I wish I had a little more of the facial view on this image and I wish it was a little sharper. Unfortunately, the Peregrine only appeared for short period of time and it was in heavy shade. Despite that I suppose I’m okay with getting a full frame shot.

There are definitely some image quality issues with the 2X extender as opposed to the 1.4 X.

Those look more natural to me…I was going to ask if there was a blue morph of this bird. It wouldn’t be unheard of. Great wing poses and light on these. Obviously a favorite perching spot.

Wonderful catch on these speeding bullets! I do think the second versions show the colors best. Fantastic detail!

Great details on the bird and really interesting with that perch covered with feathers. I think I prefer the second image as it is more of a straight on view of the bird. Both nice captures though. Well done.
