Pinecones in the sky

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

This shot from a local park where there were numerous pinecones on the ground. I was able to isolate this particular tree from the rest. I converted to monochrome as it seemed to better emphasize the pinecones. My only concern is that the lines seem to lead one out of the photo

Iā€™m enjoying the view up the tree, Richard. Going b&w does a good job of emphasizing the textures in the bark set off nicely by the bursts of needles and the cones. Deliberately cutting off the ends emphasizes the trunk and branches.
