Glenys,

What a wonderfully whimsical photograph. I hove the shallow DOF as it gives the impression of so many little parachutes. I think the little splash of green moss or lichen on that stone is the icing on the cake for this. Really nice.

So beautiful, Glennie. I like how you went for f4 making for a variety of oof fungi. Whimsical is the word. My only suggestion would be to possibly burn or otherwise darken the pale shroom as it’s pretty central. But the composition is enchanting!

Wonderful and fun!! You isolated a fine composition and the colors and DOF are just right! Ditto Mike on the one brighter cap. If it were one in focus it could be good but I think it could be subdued.

I think you have your own private wonderland on your property! I’m sure it is due to years of careful tending.

Glennie: I’ll ditto @Mike_Friel and @Diane_Miller regarding that one bright OOF cap but what a delightful scene this is. I also like the shallow DOF. Our impulse to have everything in a scene sharp with stacking/small apertures can create more clinical images but I love the artistic effect you’ve achieved. Most excellent. >=))>

This is just so good Glenys. I love how you isolated just a couple of flowers in focus with everything else blurred out. That’s a great effect.

Glennie, the description whimsical fits this view very well. Those pink caps and slender stems create a good sense of dancing. I also like how they fade into softness in the distance. Have you looked at a crop to 4x5 or 8.5x11, losing the left side? Hopefully that wouldn’t lose the bit of green lichen…
