The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
This Blue was photographed in the back of Rocky Neck State Park on May 29 at 9:15 AM. I like the out stretched wings, not the head pointed away. I just downloaded the new DXO PhotoLab 8 & Nik Film Pack 6, so it was play time.
Thank you for stopping by.

Canon R5 & 1.4ext, f10, 700mm, 1/1600, ISO 1250, cropped by 55%.
I set the crop, levels and noise reduction (DeepPRIME) in DXO. Then I exported a TIFF file to Nik 6 Color Efex. There I set a filter to Glamour Glow (Strong Glow) and sent it back to DXO. In DXO I used two local Control lines to reduce the glow on the foreground and background.

Thanks for the explanation on the processing, Peter. Very interesting. I could tell that some kind of effect had been applied, but it’s quite subtle and very effective.
What a great look at the heron and the processing on the heron is excellent. My only nit would be the haze on the background water seems too prominent to me and somewhat vertical and distracts from the heron.
Hi Dennis, Sandy, Diane & Allen
Thank you for the comments. Here is a repost, I worked on the water and the vertical reflectors. You can also get a 30 day trial on DXO PhotoLab 8. That is what I am using now. My Mac is a Retina 4k 21.5", 2019, with Radeon Pro 5600 4 GB, memory 8 GB RAM, macOS 14(Sonoma)
Minimum system configuration:
8 GM RAM
For DeepPRIME, DeepPRIME XD and DeepPRIME XD2s: M1 or Intel® Mac with AMD Radeon™ Pro RX5700
Recommended system
M1, 16GB RAM, macOS 14(Sonoma)
As you can see my Mac is on the low end for min. conf. and does run slow when using, DeepPRIME, DeepPRIME XD and DeepPRIME XD2. but it does work.
