Ronald, this is nice and pointy, with good eye flow from bottom to top helped out by the gentle curves. I do think you could enhance this a bit by dodging the spines in the lower left corner.

A real nice abstract. As an alternative, I would be tempted to go B&W and give the contrast a substantial boost. It takes it more abstract, but not sure that would be the look you want. I like it.

Delightful composition and color! I love the soft golds against the muted turquoise. I also think this would make a great B/W, just as another interpretation. I might remove the lone spine coming in from the left.

Is it possible to get a composition that includes all the spines on the right?

Ron: Tough to compose/crop this subject but I think you did well. I like the muted color palette and the gentle curve of the stem contrasting with the sharp spine. Nicely done. >=))>
