The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
These are cactus spines. It was a challenge find a composition in a mass of similar things but I thought the two clusters in the center worked well together.
Specific Feedback
Is it interesting? Any technical shortcomings I missed?

The composition works well for my taste, Don. This makes a very interesting image. I don’t know if I’ve seen an image of the details of the spines and how they’re mounted in the plant before.
Same here – very interesting! And photogenic! Its wonderful how the spines stand out and the detail on them is excellent! My only thought would be to remove the 3 pieces poking into the frame (ouch…) on the bottom and LL, but there is enough else going on that they are hardly noticeable. Excellent image!!
Dennis, Diane, thanks. I’ve seen lots of cactus spines and these are a little unusual. Most spines are straight. A few are curved. Wavy isn’t something I’ve seen before.
Diane, with this one I decided to leave most of the spines intruding from the edge. It may not have been the right decision but it was conscious.
Very unusual and definitely interesting.
In addition to the great detail in the spines, I also see firey-eyed devil trolls sticking their tongues out at you! LOL
The comp works very well.
WOW !!! This is a great Black and White Image. I love the lines and the detail. Very Interesting image and i do like the bleed off the edges. You nailed it Don. Great work !!!
Don: My thoughts petty much echo @Diane_Miller’s first comment regarding the little intruders but that’s a pretty trivial point. We have a barrel cactus with spines much like this so I appreciate your take. Well seen, captured and processed. >=))>
