I was finally able to capture an image of an adult Gray Fox and one of his kits on a hot July day in Oklahoma. The adult fox is just a bit larger than a big house cat, so you can get an idea of how small the kit is. The little one is about five or six months old.

So sweet! I actually saw 2 gray foxes early the other morning! At first I thought they were cats and then getting closer I could see they were the gray fox! My stupid bike brakes squeaked so they ran away, but I’m keeping an eye out for them! I know I’ve heard them before. Really nice capture, foxes are such devoted parents.
I hope you get some photos! If they become accustomed to seeing you, I’ll bet they will get less nervous, and you’ll get some shots!
