“Mom, when can we come out to play?”
Very cute. I amazed at the quality of the image given the extremely high ISO. I think the framing is just right. You might consider burning down the brighter area of the wood below and left of the critters.

Preston’s “Mom, when can we come out to play?” makes a perfect title for these adorable little guys.
You were fortunate to find and capture them so well. I would also suggest some minor edge patrol at the top and removing the drip on the roof and the little white thing at bottom right.
They’re making more babies this time of year? It’s a very cute image as @Preston_Birdwell noted and I can see the issue with the brighter area on the front of the box. I’d hesitate to just burn it because that has a tendency to just turn stuff like this gray and it doesn’t look right to my eye. You can pick up one of the browns and go over it with a translucent brush to keep some color there. Otherwise, if you use the TK panel plugin, he has some wonderful tools for adding color without disturbing texture.
Good idea @Dennis_Plank !

What cute little critters! They seem to be snug inside just waiting for the rain to clear.
I seem to be wandering into looser animal images/portaits lately, and wonder if you have just a tad more room on the RHS and perhaps the bottom.
Impressive ISO. Good suggestions in taming the brighter parts of the branches below.
A wonderful capture! That looks like a nice squirrel house and they look like they’re staying warm – in a way.
I find it impossible to understand how animals can survive in cold weather.
