The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
This is Erin, our youngest and newest member of the family. She was sitting in the living room yesterday morning when light coming through the leaded glass on the front door hit her just right. I didn’t want to take a chance on getting my camera so I just popped off a few shots with my phone. She posed for several minutes with the light hitting her face at different angles but I liked this the best.>=))>
Specific Feedback
The BG is our carpet. I left a little texture in it. Should I go to a solid color BG?

Carpet is just fine with me, Bill. I don’t know if you can do anything about the hot spots in the spectrum-you might try fading some color into them with low opacity cloning. A very fun image. I do the same thing with our cat because whenever I get out the real camera she quits being cute and hides her face.
The texture in the background and main subject work very well. I don’t think a solid color would work as well. I love the “rainbow” and its placement, but not sure how you got a shot with her eye open in that light. Erin is off the cuteness scale.
…Erin is a real cutie, Bill. Needless to say the handy iPhones can make the day in so many ways, including for call usages…
Our present rescue cat, like our previous cats, always find their way to the window sunlight often…
