Raven rock

This is an old image, a favorite, but as it turns out I was back in these dunes this morning in Michigan! I love finding these stories in the sand, this of a raven having been exploring a rock.

Interesting image John. I love the story telling aspect clear path taken, the dance around the rock and then the exit stage left. I would clone out the dark bit on the BRS. Love the shadows.

Cool footprints and patterns created by the path. There is some nice side light as well. The dark spot in the upper right which I think is a rock catches my eye. Maybe brighten that up a bit.

I love this, John! Many times I’ve seen raven or crow tracks, but none so photogenically perfect! Color me green. Corvids are such curious birds with lots of free time so the things they get up to are so interesting and clearly this one thought that rock was, too. Great sense of story and intrigue. Maybe a bit too crunchy? I know it’s sand, but it seems a bit overly sharpened. Still it’s a gem. Thanks for digging it out!
